Nokia will Fire 3500 Employees

Jakarta - Nokia will do the firing on thousands of employees. This announcement coincided with the notification that the company also wanted to reduce its factory.

A total of 3,500 workers will be laid off by the phone until the end of 2012 and the number is reportedly going to grow again the following year.

Moderate plant to be closed are located in Romania. Not enough just to close a factory, Nokia also is reviewing plans to close plants located in Finland, Mexico and Hungary. Was also at the factory in Bonn, Malvern and Pennsylvania are likely to experience a similar fate.



Last year, major layoffs done by stopping the Nokia 4000 workers and 3000 employees transferring to Accenture in conjunction with Symbian software. Reportedly, the transfer is done to more successful adoption of Microsoft's Windows 7 Phone.

However, this dismissal does not undermine the commitment Nokia in Europe. Quoted by Bloomberg on Thursday (09/29/2011), Nokia said it will maintain its research & development facilities in Europe her.

In a separate statement, Nokia announced that its cooperation with Siemens AG, Nokia Siemens Networks has a 1 billion euro cash injection from its parent company. These funds are used to strengthen their financial position.
